Charitable Trusts & Foundations

The financial support we receive from charitable trusts and foundations helps provide a stable source of funding for some of our most important services, and helps us extend services, and deliver them innovatively.

These services help families like the Schofields to cope with the trauma and distress caused by the death of someone they love.

We are extremely grateful for grants and donations which help us pay for our running costs across the organisation or for particular services e.g. family counselling, day centre or general costs.

Unrestricted gifts are hugely valuable as they give us the flexibility to target resources where they are most needed and can have the greatest impact.

We also greatly appreciate gifts which are to support specific services, e.g. Family Bereavement Services, Patient Transportation or equipment.

Keeping in touch

We know that receiving feedback about the impact of your grant is important.  We will comply with all monitoring requirements, demonstrate the impact of your grant and keep you informed about developments in our organisation or in a particular project.  Our feedback could include photos, videos, patient case studies, hard outcomes, financial reporting and publicity as required.  If you require something specific, please let us know and we would be happy to oblige.

Standards & Regulation

George Thomas Hospice Care adheres to the highest standard of fundraising. We are members of the Fundraising Regulator and guarantee that our applications will always meet your objectives, we will not undertake mass mailings and we comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and we promise that funds raised for a cause are always used for that cause, we will always tell you the truth in our applications and we will meet all conditions in relation to any grant awarded.
