You can take your unwanted items directly to one of our shops or you can drop the items at our Hospice Centre in Whitchurch. What can I donate? We accept most good quality items of clothing, shoes, handbags, bric a brac, DVDs, CDs etc. However we can not accept large electrical items or large items of furniture. Your donation can make a huge difference to the lives of people facing the worst situations. When Eleri and Gabriel's father died after a short battle with Cancer, they were just 10 years old. George Thomas Hospice Care were able to work closely with the twins through our Children's Bereavement Groups to help them come to terms with their father's death. Gabriel was very angry and found it so hard to cope with what had happened. Eleri wanted to protect her mum and so didn't talk about her feelings at all. She felt like she had no one to turn to until she attended our group. The Children's Bereavement Group helped them recognise how they were feeling, understand the emotions and deal with them. Before their dad died they were able to create memory boxes together filled with birthday cards, photographs and letters and other things that remind them of him. "I know they're having a bad day when their memory boxes are out"
