What is Light up a Life?

The annual Light up a Life appeal began on the 8th November and ended on 31st December 2012.

Light up a Life - supporters sponsored a light on our Christmas tree in memory of a loved one who has passed away or in honour of somebody who is still with us.

The donations included a message in our Book of Remembrance. The Book of Remembrance was on display at Queens Arcade, Queen Street between the 8th and 11th November.  The Books were then displayed at our marvellous hospice centre, Ty George Thomas, in the grounds of Whitchurch Hospital, from the 11th to the 25th November. They were then on display with the Christmas Tree at Capitol Centre, Queen Street, Cardiff from 26th November to 30th December 2012.

The Book of Remembrance was updated weekly throughout the appeal and additional entries were made until the end of the appeal. From 1st January 2013 the Book of Remembrance is kept at our hospice centre.

2013...

This year, we hope that our Light up a Life appeal will be more successful than ever and we warmly invite you to sponsor a light. An additional entry may be added to our Internet Book of Remembrance and will be displayed on this site throughout the year.

All Light up a Life donations go towards our work in providing nursing care and support services to those facing cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Please help us to help others. Please support Light up a Life.
